Healing of the Paralytic

February 25. Commemoration of our Father among the Saints Tarasius, Archbishop of Constantinople.
Tarasius was one of the highest functionaries in the Byzantine Administration. He became the Emperor`s Prime Minister and was elected to the Patriarchate of Constantinople in the year 784. At the seventh Ecumenical Council in 787, he brought about the defeat of the Iconoclast and the reunion of Constantinople with the other Eastern Patriarchates. He died in 806.
Scripture Memory
“God added his testimony by signs, wonders, various acts of power, and distribution of the gifts of the holy Spirit according to his will” (Hebrews 2:4).
“When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, ‘Child, your sins are forgiven’ ” (Mark 2:5).
